The long-awaited seventh and final season of Riverdale premieres on March 29 at 9 p.m. ET. The best place to watch episodes is through The CW, either via its app, website, or cable channel. Below, we'll cover how to watch Riverdale in the US, Canada, and the UK. If that doesn't include you, don't fret: we'll also give you details on how to access streaming options no matter where you are by using a VPN.

Riverdale is a drama mystery series that reimagines characters from the Archie comics, — including Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead — as they unravel the truth behind their seemingly idyllic town. The show puts a dark spin on the original comic, and it's even started to introduce supernatural elements, like magic and alternate worlds. In the seventh season, the gang travels to the 1950s, where they become immersed in the world of the classic comic, without any memory of their modern-day lives. The season promises to send off the long-running series with a bang.

Where/How to watch Riverdale season 7 in the US

You can watch Riverdale season seven in the US by catching new episodes as they hit the CW every Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, starting on March 29. If you don't have cable, you can live stream the CW through FuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, and Youtube TV. Of those options, Hulu + Live TV is the cheapest, with a starting price of $70/month.

Fubo Pro Plan

Fubo is the streaming service for sports fans. Its huge library of channels includes regional and international sports leagues, setting it apart from the competition. You can also tack on additional programming to your plan, but it'll cost you extra.

Hulu + Live TV includes over 90 channels, along with Hulu's on-demand library and access to Disney Plus and ESPN Plus. Adding live TV drives up the price significantly, but it's a rolling one-month contract that you're free to cancel at any time. As live TV services go, this is one of the best.

How to watch Riverdale season 7 for free

If you don't mind waiting a day to stream new Riverdale season seven episodes, you can watch episodes online for free through the The CW app or online website. New episodes are added the day after they air on TV, but the free collection will only include the five most recent episodes throughout the season. You will also have to sit through a few ad breaks.

This option doesn't require an account or any payment information — just download the app on your tablet, smartphone, smart TV, or gaming console to watch new episodes for free. Alternatively, you can also head to The CW website and catch the season there. If you're outside of the US, the VPN route mentioned earlier will let you enjoy this option too.

A tempting alternative, if you want to avoid ads and already have a Netflix subscription, is using a VPN to access the Canadian or UK versions of Netflix as they're getting each new episode the day after it airs in the US. Netflix won't limit episode selection to the most recent five either like the free streaming option highlighted for the US.

How many episodes are in Riverdale season 7?

Riverdale season 7 is expected to have 20 episodes. Episodes will be released weekly at 9 p.m. ET Wednesdays on the CW.

Where to watch previous seasons of Riverdale?

You can watch the first six seasons of Riverdale on Netflix. Netflix Basic starts at $7 a month with ads or $10 a month without. For HD streaming and up to two simultaneous streams, you'll need to opt for at least Netflix Standard, which costs $15.49 a month. Netflix Premium, the top-tier plan, costs $20 a month and offers stream quality in HD and 4K Ultra HD.
